The EMA Team Tried Out the New Snapchat Lenses!

Snapchat is currently one of the most popular social networks out there and is estimated to have over 100 million users. For its latest update, Snapchat released some new features that currently have everyone talking. The most notable (and fun) new feature is an array of lenses that let you add a new dimension to your selfie game. To unlock these new lenses, first, update to the latest version of the app. Open the app and click the little camera on the top right to make sure you are on selfie mode. Center your face on the screen and hold down with your thumb for a couple of seconds. You’ll notice the new lenses at the bottom of the screen. Switch between the icons and follow the on-screen directions for the different effects.

We decided to try out these new selfie lenses ourselves, and the results were terrific. Take a look:

In addition to the fresh new lenses, Snapchat is also adding some other noteworthy features:

• Replays – Currently, you are allowed to replay one snap per day for free. You now have the option to purchase more replays. Though you can buy more replays, you are still only allowed to use one replay per snap. Here are the prices:
• Three replays for $0.99
• Ten replays for $2.99
• 20 replays for $4.99
• Trophy Case– The new trophy feature is a way that Snapchat rewards users by taking different actions on the app, similar to how a user would receive badges in Foursquare. When you complete specific tasks, you unlock different emojis as your trophy. Access your trophy case from the main Snapchat screen and click the little trophy at the top middle of the screen.
